In “Orbite” to find your own balance is not only a physical necessity, the soul repeatedly looks for this state too.

A huge, 17-metre high mobile becomes a finely balanced stage for six performers who bring this mobile to life with minimum body movements. It is a highly-sensitive interplay of body weights, gravity and torques. For an hour the viewers are taken into a strange world of images, their very own orbit.

The speciality of öff öff productions is the choreography of the vertical. This is a characteristic of all their creations with the aim of discovering and developing new dimensions in choreography. Gravity is defied here: the laws of physics are different than what people are used to. Everything moves, the ground, the sky, the neighbours. Between weightlessness and falling everything becomes circular, the orbit of life. Every step in “Orbite” has consequences for the others and the balance.
