Creating the audience of tomorrow, today.

Well, some people have not only asked themselves that same question but have also gone into action, which is what we need. Last October, from the 6th to the 8th, the town of Olesa (Barcelona) was witness to the birth of “Butaka Teatre Jove”, a Fair whose programming is devised for a young audience and directed at programmers responsible for youth theatre and performance programming. Free Art would like to convey our most sincere congratulations to its director, Mingo Valles, a man of sensitivity and foresight who we should all be supporting unconditionally.

International Street Arts Conference.

Frank Wilson, the director of Event International and artistic director of the Stockton International Riverside Festival, played host to one of the most important international events of the moment, whose theme for discussion and analysis was Street Arts. ‘Mapping the Streets’ position within the universe of Street Arts provided a benchmark for everyone involved, as demonstrated by the high attendance numbers, including cultural managers, creators and artistic directors from all over the world. This first event is the spearhead of a process that can only benefit the sector.

This is the best thing that could have happened: last Monday, when we phoned and interrupted Leandre in the middle of rehearsals with his colleagues, Jordi and Enric, he exclaimed excitedly – We’re having such a great time! And that’s a sign that something very special is brewing.
